  • Inventory, organize, and process boxes of print documents (correspondence, minutes, newspaper articles, neighborhood newsletters, etc.) and other media formats (CD-R discs, color photographs, rolls of film, negatives of photographs, floppy discs, VHS tapes, and video cassette tapes).
  • Weed, catalogue, and label records, and enter information about the records into HP TRIM computer software.
  • Perform basic preservation tasks, including inserting photographs in sheet protectors, photo-copying news articles, helping to preserve maps, and organizing records in acid-free folders and archival boxes.
  • Process the Fitzgerald matchbook collection and use Portland City Directories to obtain circa dates for items contained within the assembled collection.
  • Read over, inventory, and develop a processing plan for Portland City Council resolutions handwritten in cursive script and type-written from the late 19th to early 20th centuries.
