Objective

 

To obtain a library position that allows me to use my knowledge of library theories and practices, as well as, my customer services, communication, clerical and critical thinking skills.

 

Qualifications

 

Managerial abilities include interviewing and hiring, employee training, job performance evaluation, conflict resolution for both employee and customer disputes, basic knowledge of labor laws, assessing work load and scheduling accordingly, and communicating with corporate partners. 

 

Customer service experiences involve acting as a first contact and aiding patrons, both in person and on the phone, with information request.  Also, helping customers find desired products, up-selling through add-ons, and cashing out transactions.   

 

Clerical skills entail extensive experience filing documents including financial paperwork, human resource information, and shipping and receiving receipts, as well as updating changes to and removing rescinded government forms and regulations.

 

Knowledge of office automation includes utilization of computers, faxes, and multi-line telephones, and computer literacy, with familiarity of office suite, point-of-sale and library circulation programs.
