In looking at my future goals as a professional librarian in the field of librarianship, I would say that one of my goals is to continue the strong pursuit of community as it pertains to mission and value statements in libraries. To continue to connect, inspire, engage, and enrich community members lives through open access to all formats of information and program resources using best practices. In connecting community members to information and program resources I will strive to promote lifelong learning.  

Further goals are to continue my education in librarianship, therefore, continually updating my educational development and skills in this professional field. And one goal that I will be adding to my career skills is that of grant writing. I will be registering for a class in grant writing. Grant Writing is a very important skill/tool to have as a librarian, as funding budgets are fluid, increasing and decreasing with needs and wants of community entities.  

In addition, learning to speak and write Spanish is a goal that I seek to learn and then use in the profession of librarianship, as well as use in my everyday life; connecting to all community members.
